What exactly is a VO₂max analyzer?
The tool calculates your VO₂max value based on an estimate of your running performance. VO₂max shows how well your body can absorb and utilize oxygen while running – a very good indicator of your endurance performance.
Why are there three tests in the Hunter Analyzer?
Because every runner has different requirements:
- Rockport: ideal for beginners or people who don’t (yet) want to run at full speed.
- Cooper: A classic for ambitious runners, very reliable.
- 1.5-Mile-Test: Frequently used in the military or in fitness diagnostics.
They all provide similar, but not identical, VO₂max estimates. First, select your category in the Hunter Analyzer: Are you a beginner, an ambitious runner (this is the most used analyzer), or a hunter? 😉 traveling in the military?

Estimates only. If you have heart/lung conditions or feel unwell, don’t do maximal tests—use a submax test and consult a professional.
